We drove into Paris to drop off the rental car. We didn't know how quite how close we would get to the city.

Phew, the GPS steered us away from the L'Arc de Triomphe.

We loved driving around in this car. Although the push button start was a little weird, the GPS saved me from having to navigate using a map.

After dropping off the rental we walked through La Defense to the subway.

Saint Chappelle Stained Glass

The first place we visited in Paris. I think this is one of the most beautiful church interiors of the whole trip. Amazing.

The center of Paris is right in front of Notre Dame. Every place has a distance calculated from this point.

Deportation Memorial on the Ile de la Cite.

This is a memorial for the people who were deported from Paris during WWII. It is a very thought provoking art installation on the end of the island.
